Welcome to GIG (“we”, “our”, “GIG”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the GIG website, mobile application, and any related services (collectively “Services”). By accessing or using the Services you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Who can use the Services

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use GIG. By using the Services you represent and warrant that you meet the age requirement and have authority to enter these Terms.

2. Account registration

• You may need to register an account to use certain features. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.
  
  
• You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of unauthorized account usage.

3. Services overview & acceptable use

• GIG is a task/job tracking tool for freelancers, gig workers, and daily-wage earners to manage schedules, jobs, locations, wages, employer details, and reminders.
  
  
• You agree not to use the Services for unlawful activities, to impersonate others, to upload harmful code or malware, or to interfere with the Services.
  
  
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or policies.

4. Content you provide

• You retain ownership of content you submit (job descriptions, notes, employer details). By submitting content you grant GIG a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, host, store, reproduce, and display that content to provide the Services.
  
  
• Do not upload personal data of third parties unless you have their consent and are legally permitted to do so.

5. Job listings, wages, and disputes

• GIG is a tool to help you track jobs and wages. We are not an employer, payroll processor, or mediator. Any contractual terms between you and an employer are separate from GIG.
  
  
• GIG is not responsible for discrepancies in wage claims, job completion, job quality, or disputes between workers and employers.

6. Payments and third-party services

• If you use payment features (e.g., in-app payments, tips), payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Your use of those providers is subject to their terms and privacy policies.
  
  
• We do not store full payment card numbers unless explicitly stated; we rely on PCI-compliant processors.

7. Notifications and reminders

By enabling notifications you consent to receiving reminders, alerts, and transactional messages from GIG. You can manage notification preferences in app settings.

8. Intellectual property

• GIG, the GIG logo, and all GIG content and software are our property or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without permission.

9. Privacy

10. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

• Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness, or non-infringement.
  
  
• Except where prohibited by law, in no event will GIG be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business interruption arising out of use of the Services.
  
  
• Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid to us in the 12 months prior to the claim (or $100 if you paid no fees), to the extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GIG, its officers, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms or for any reason with notice. You may close your account at any time using in-app or account settings; certain data may be retained consistent with our Privacy Policy and legal obligations.

13. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we will notify you (e.g., email or in-app). Continued use after notice means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law & disputes
